Just finished reading 'The History of the Sixteenth Tennessee Volunteer Infantry Regiment Volume II No Hope of Getting Out Alive' by Jamie Gillum.
After enjoying Volume I of this series and the book on the Battle of Perryville I was not suprised to enjoy this book also.
It is a very detailed study of the daily lives of the

"No Hope of Getting Out Alive" is the second volume in a three volume series chronicling the story of the Sixteenth Tennessee Volunteer Infantry regiment. This volume covers September 1862 thru December of 1863 and follows the regiment to Perryville, Kentucky where they participated in their first major battle.
