Tennessee Unionist regiments in general haven't been the focus of a lot of regimental histories, and West Tennessee units are even less studied than those from East Tennessee.
Not surprisingly, information seems to be so|About the Author|Kevin D. McCann is a native West Tennessean whose ancestors fought in the Sixth Tennessee Cavalry. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in History from Union University and has written several books with an emphasis on Jackson and West Tennes
